Review for The Humane Society of the United States, Washington, DC, USA
The HSUS makes no claim to support local shelters, but in so many ways it does precisely that. HSUS is present in all 50 states, and is active in helping law enforcement, and other agencies bring justice to animals who are suffering because of abuse, abandonment, natural disasters and hoarding (amongst the many crimes perpetrated against animals). They are a preeminent example of what a non profit organization should do with its money. The organization's honesty, integrity and mission are rock solid.

I helped rescue animals and was affiliated with HSUS, and worked with a variety of rescues and families to get animals reunited with their families.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Would cut people who try to say that the HSUS is not honest about their money. They need to be banned from this and every other public forum.
