Review for Globalcures Inc, Newton, MA, USA
Global Cures helps to fill the large gap in medical treatment of serious illness such as cancer. The development and research in to new promising therapies is driven by large pharmaceutical companies, who are interested in large profits. As a result, many generic cheap therapies that can save lives are left alone awaiting funds for proper research. Global Cures finds such promising therapies, alerts the patients to their existence, and also finds the research. In addition, they are now connecting patients around the world collecting data on these treatments in "virtual" clinical trials.
I am the director of the first private cancer clinic in Canada (Medicor Cancer Centres). We treat patients who have little hope by bringing promising affordable therapies to them today. Several of the drugs we use are generic drugs not normally used for cancer, yet they are effective for many patients. Global Cures follows the same philosophy which is to promote such therapies based on their merit, rather than on their ability to generate profit. Their efforts can save thousands of lives each year.
I have met wit the directors and begun collaborating by sharing our clinical experience to help plan clinical trials of an anti-cancer drug called DCA. I can say they are truly open to collaboration which is rare among researchers (many are viciously protective of their own work and refuse to collaborate). To me this demonstrates their motivation which is clearly to help mankind.
They are the epitome of a "Great" non-profit corporation.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in that I have witnessed how quickly they review new literature on anti-cancer strategies, and use the information to target and focus their course of action in funding research and developing an online database for patients seeking cancer treatment options.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would accelerate the develop of an online algorithm which helps cancer patients choose from hundreds of treatment options the ones most suited to them individually. (This is a huge task.)
