My Nonprofit Reviews

Gayathri
Review for Generation SERVE, Austin, TX, USA
As parents, we talk to our child about being a good citizen and how to develop qualities to be one. Volunteering together with our 6 year old in different Little Helping Hands activity helps us put some of those words into practice and is kind of a family bonding opportunity. All the Little Helping Hands activities we have volunteered for in the past 9 months have been so much fun and my daughter has learnt so much from them that when we tell her we have a volunteering opportunity on that weekend, her response is "Yaaay.. Come mama lets go." Even eating breakfast is optional :). We are much indebted to Little Helping Hands for organizing so many varied activities in such a wonderful manner. Volunteering for a noble cause by itself is good motivating factor to get out and do something - but when it is also so much fun, it just becomes an addiction, I guess :).

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the Austin community in general. I have also seen the change in my daughter and in other young children who have volunteered with my daughter on several ocassaions and their perspecitive on community service.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
get more volunteering opportunities for children within Austin and expand to areas adjoining Austin city.
