Review for National Breast Cancer Prevention Project, Manchester, MA, USA
This talk was amazing. I learned a lot and have been passing the information on to others as well as using it to get myself on track with preventing myself from getting breast cancer. There is a lot of breast cancer in my family history but I was very put off by how the health care professionals I was seeing, including a Breast Cancer expert surgeon, were talking to me about it. They actually all had the same party lines, their deliveries were cold and nothing felt like I was being taken care of, just treated and released. I started doing research on my own and asked a lot of questions and no one I saw wanted to address any of my questions or concerns. So, when I saw the flyer for this talk I immediatey signed up and am eternally grateful I did. Susan Wels seemed extremely knowledgable and passionate, caring and thoughtful with her delivery of information. This is how we need to live. By supporting, caring and listening to each other. I don't believe that just just because someone is a doctor they help people. When money is involved in keeping people sick we need to look at that as a society and start to address that. It starts with talking with each other. Thank you. Julie
