Review for Autism International Assoc Inc, Fullerton, CA, USA
Autism International organizes the annual AutismOne conference in Chicago IL, during the week prior to Memorial Day. It is the most comprehensive autism conference hands down. It has sessions on every topic to help families from OT strategies, to special ed law sessions, to the newest research in the autism world.
The conference goes so far beyond a typical conference offering childcare provided by renowned therapy designers at the Autism Treatment Center of America, to free pampering sessions at their spa night, to an amazing gala dinner.
The exhibitors and presenters are top notch, they stream the sessions online for free and the conference is organized by volunteers, so operates on a tiny tiny budget when compared to massive national organizations spending millions on just marketing.
AutismOne this year was free to attend. This is exactly what a non-profit should be about, providing maximum benefit to the community and families with minimal running costs. They are an amazing organization, started by parents, for parents.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I have used the presentations I have attended to help my son, who has autism. He is making enormous progress and it is a pleasure to give back to the organization that gives so much. AutismOne is unique in that so many of the speakers are accessible and it is a fantastic opportunity to chat about issues affecting your child with speakers and other parents who attend.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would not change a thing! The organization is run by good people who care about children and their families, teachers, therapists and loved ones.
