I was introduced to the Recovery Survival Network while in the county jail and expected it to be like the other agencies i had encountered. I was pleasently surprised to find that they were truly concerned about my life going forward and not just interested in the things of my past. At the time of this introduction i had no intention of changing my life or lifestyle. Lou Gordon, the director of Recovery Survival Network, saw something in me that i didn't see in myself and continued to nurture and mentor me until i began to see my own worth. It has been two years since this initiated and he hasn't let me forget my worth a one day. I now reside 3000 miles away and they have never left my side. I owe a debt of gratitude to Mr Gordon and Kevin Henley for re-introducing me to myself in such a way that i will never forget to take every measure at my disposal to be a productive member of this society and to give back what they continue to give me at every opportunity.
