Review for The Humane Society of the United States, Washington, DC, USA
Less than 1% of the money HSUS collects actually goes to help real cats and dogs. Don't waste your money by giving it to HSUS. Give it to your local shelters, who need support helping the animals in your area that need it.

interviewing local shelters who get NO assistance from HSUS, and less local donations because people who have sent money to HSUS think it will reach the local shelters. It doesn't.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
add some honesty to its campaigns.
