Review for Stop The Silence Stop Child Sexual Abuse Inc, Glenn Dale, MD, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I know the story of Stop the Silence very well as its founder, and I can tell you that those working with this organization have worked their hearts out providing wonderfully creative and impactful programming that has literally touched the world.

From the early days of the first Race to Stop the Silence (www.stopcsa.org/race) -- there have now been seven of them since 2004 that have generated global awareness, to the recent play To Kill A Kelpie (www.ToKillAKelpie.com), which was performed showing extremely positive outcomes in San Francisco, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., this organization has unfailingly both spread the message that we need to stop the silence about child sexual abuse, change our policies, provide help for the child and adult survivors, and PREVENT the abuse from happening in the first place, and provided the programming that helps accomplish these things. THIS IS A GREAT ORGANIZATION -- expect great things to come!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in everything that it has done. Sometimes I look back and marvel what we've done in the relatively short time since the organization was incorporated in 2004. The quickest way to get acquainted with the results provided is to visit its Web site (www.stopcsa.org) and then get otherwise involved as a volunteer.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

If I had to make changes -- and could make the change I wanted -- I'd fund it with a million dollars, to start! This organization has everything it needs to truly help change the world: the people, the ideas, the passion, the energy. I wish I could give it the funds that it needs to carry its mission far and wide -- and soon! Too many kids, too many adults are effected for us not to do more!

Role:  Advisor & Founded and provided key leadership, guidance, and technical input.

Review for Witness Justice, Rockville, MD, USA

Rating: 4 stars

For some time, Helga Luest and Witness Justice have shined a focused and intensive light on the need for this country and elsewhere to address issues of justice for those abused -- emotionally, physically, sexually. The organization has provided creative (The Glass Book Project) and knowledgeable direction and programming to help survivors heal and policymakers understand and address the issues associated with trauma.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Role:  Volunteer & helped promote information about trauma, healing, and policy issues.
