Review for Medical Students for Choice, Philadelphia, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I first became involve in MSFC when I was 1st year medical student. I've always been pro-choice but this organization really opened my eyes and helped me understand the core issues in reproductive health and women's rights to safe and healthy abortion care. The organization is truly selfless and works endlessly to educate the future physicians of America so they can advocate for their patients and provide necessary healthcare services in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Medical students for choice provides the opportunity for medical students to have a formal, hands-on training experience with their externship program. This program gives great insight into the patients perspective of abortion and really abolishes the misconceptions many people still have. I had the honor of working in a very well known clinic that provides 2nd and 3rd trimester abortions. Many of the women I worked with were so grateful to have a kind ear to simply listen to their fears and concerns.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give them more funding. It would be amazing to see what changes they might make if they had even more financial support.
