Review for WeSPARK Cancer Support Center, Sherman Oaks, CA, USA
WeSpark is a vitial part of the community serving people battling cancer. All services are free and offered in a homelike environment. My first encounter with WeSpark was five years ago when my husband died of cancer. He had been ill for several years & I was his caregiver. That role took it's toll on me physically & emotionally. The wonderful programs there focused on my grief & return to wholeness. They enabled me to heal.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the difference it's made in their guests lives. It's been a positive experience for the many people that have shared that sentiment with me both as a guest myself & as the greeter they see when they first enter the building!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
be very proud
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Seeing how it transforms people and gives them HOPE
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
loving & supportive
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
help many more people that it already does now. It touches so many lives so deeply. It gives people the courage & vision to to go on with their lives. It's one of the very few places "where money can buy happiness"
Ways to make it better...
If Wendie Jo's smiling face were still present, but we feel her love in her living legacy, WeSpark
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
The need for more funds, but thats the same challenge facing all non-profits today
One thing I'd also say is that...
WeSpark provides a safe place for people to share their fears, doubts, hopes, tears & laughter.
