Review for WeSPARK Cancer Support Center, Sherman Oaks, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I was Piero, loving the moon. At weSPARK, I found the stars. Now I am a Galaxy. How can I thank all of you at weSPARK? I found a lump in my breast while dressing for a New Year's party 2008. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2009. Thanks to my son, who is a surgeon, and all the doctors that I had, I'm cured. After a year and 2 months of intensive cancer treatment: lumpectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and immune-system therapy. Writing it in a page is very easy. Experiencing it in 14 month, is another story. After all this treatment, my life changed totally. I couldn't run my business anymore and I had to close it. Most of the time I was crying alone. I was cured, but lost. Didn't know and didn't have the power to jump on the track of life -- the fast track of life in LA -- the top of the world city. Then I found weSPARK. They saved my life, my marriage, and my sanity. By their spiritual leading I'm standing on my feet and I'm enjoying the other side of LA -- beautiful nature, beautiful weather and nice loving people in this gorgeous city.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my own life. weSPARK has saved me and opened my eyes to a broader world.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the services they offer. These services would be helpful for non-cancer people, too!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Loving, kind, caring and wonderful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

open weSPARK centers to help a lot more people.

Ways to make it better...

I had found weSPARK at the beginning of my treatment.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I had a limited view and weSPARK helped me embrace things outside my own culture that have enhanced my life.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009
