Review for Animals Cant Talk Rescue and Adoption Inc, East Stroudsburg, PA, USA
This organization is completely run by volunteers. They tirelessly clean cages, attend adoptions every week at our local PetSmart, participate in fundraising and care for sick animals. The president, Naomi Gauntlett, is the most dedicated person. She travels from Pennsylvania to NYC to her job that helps to fund this organization. When she arrives home, she spends at least three hours feeding/watering/medicating the animals in her care. Saturday she works alongside her volunteers at PetSmart trying to find loving families for the animals. Sunday she again works alongside her volunteers for the weekly full cleaning of cages and house where the animals reside. She takes in as many animals as she can. She takes animals that other shelters turn away. I doubt I will every meet another person as generous as Naomi Gauntlett.

Review for Animals Cant Talk Rescue and Adoption Inc, East Stroudsburg, PA, USA
I have been volunteering for ACT for over a year, and I can sincerely say that the people in this organization really care about helping animals.
They tirelessly give their time with nothing in return but the satisfaction of knowing that are making a difference.
Naomi Gauntlett, the president, devotes her life to this work. She commutes 2 hours to work each day so that she can use her paycheck to help even more. Most, at her age, are retired.
The volunteers who go to PetSmart every Saturday to do adoptions are so wonderful. They truly have a sense of what person is the right fit for each animal.
Then there are those that come regularly to clean the cages at PetSmart and the residence where the cats in waiting reside. Cleaning cages is not glorious work...in fact it's messy, but they come, knowing how important it is to have a comfortable place for the cats until they find a furrever home.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Hundreds of cats and dogs are adopted through ACT each year since its inception. I am glad to us my computer skills to assist.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
ACT needs more funding and can always use more volunteers.
