Our families benefit greatly from the Great Start workshops provided by Side by Side, Inc.. Parents are excited about ways they can help their children in reading and math. Many of our families are bilingual and receive interpreter services at the workshops. We have seen parents who attend these workshops more involved in their child's education. Thanks Side by Side!

Causes: Education, Parent & Teacher Groups
Mission: Equip parents to help their children do well in school.
Programs: In fy 2014 side by side operated two programs: 1) great start, a series of workshop evenings for parents at six public elementary schools in laurel, md. , and 2) homework club, a once-a-week tutoring program for up to 12 students at laurel elementary school.
