I've adopted two rabbits from this shelter. It is always clean, the animals well cared for, and the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeble.

If there was a level 6, I'd choose it. Their dedication to all animals goes way beyond above and beyond. They are not only a no kill shelter that also takes bunnies and birds, but they go cageless as much as possible, and have the most amazing volunteers that dash into the fray to help an animal in need. I love Red Door with a passion!

We give regularly to Red Door because of the wonderful work they do. In a very limited space, they are able to care for and find homes for so many animals. Their staff is so dedicated and they work tirelessly to help every animal they come in contact with. They are a no-kill shelter, which is big in our book.

Red Door is run by some of the most selfless, passionate, and dedicated people I know. We adopted our rabbit there 7 years ago, and my sister has adopted 4 of her rabbits there (yes, we are rabbit people). The shelter is cage-free, which optimizes the chances that a cat or rabbit will be more easily adopted out (no cage = friendlier pets). They also assist low-income families so they can keep their pets, and routinely set up search parties if a stray rabbit or cat has been spotted outside. I could never do this job because it would tear at my heart strings too badly, but thank God the people at Red Door have the strength and compassion to do it instead.
