The most remarkable thing about Project SHARE is that it maintains high standards, proving that charitable works don 't have to sacrifice quality. Project SHARE is not interested in filling its shelves with anything anyone calls food. It provides fresh food and helps to build a culture of healthy eating and nutrition. We and our extended family support Project SHARE every year, and we do so without hesitation. There are many non-profits that leave you wondering whether your money goes for its intended purpose. We have never had second thoughts about Project SHARE.
I have been a volunteer a few times and have been very impressed with how far Elaine has brought Project Share over the years. The amount of people they help and the efficiency of the distribution is impressive. The classes they hold for children and adults to learn how to cook and eat healthy goes above the basic role of just providing food for the hungry . The Carlisle community has rallied around Project Share with individuals and local businesses donating food, money and time.
