I'm a former client, volunteer, and long time donor to Persad Center. Persad is an incredible resource for the LGBT and HIV+ communities in Western Pennsylvania. They offer mental health counseling, substance abuse services, services for individuals and couples in abusive relationships, gender transition programs, and a host of other services for our community. They offer a host of programs for youth to help them stay in school, stay off the streets, and stay healthy. Importantly, they offer free or subsidized care to people in need. I believe in Persad's mission and programs and will continue to do what I can to support them.

Persad is an amazing organization. They provide counseling and mental health services to the GLBT community in Pittsburgh and the surrounding area. I have been a supporter of this organization for many years. I have donated time and dollars, and made in-kind contributions. Betty Hill is currently the Executive Director for Persad, and I have the utmost respect for her. How many EDs do you know that will roll up their sleeves at the end of an event and pitch in to help the with clean up? She is a dynamo and the organization is lucky to have her at the helm. The amazing staff and volunteers are dedicated to the organization as well. There is an annual art auction that raises funds to support services for folks that might otherwise not be able to receive needed care. Persad is definitely worth checking out and supporting. I know that the contributions I make to this organization are valued and make a positive impact.
