Programs: PAWS concentrates on promoting public awareness regarding animal welfare issues, pet health care, disaster preparedness, and most importantly, the necessity of spaying and neutering. We visit local schools, churches, and civic organizations in an effort to educate the public about what they can do to help the nationwide epidemic of pet overpopulation. PAWS also takes a role in rescue operations during a national disasters and we assist with large scale hording and cruelty cases. In addition, we have education programs for kids in schools and a therapy pet program in hospitals and nursing homes.

Rescuing any animal is hard. Many do not understand why people are so in love with dogs or cats ... Its extremely hard to find homes for these beautiful HUGE creatures ... Everyone who gives of their time money and love to this group deserves a hand shake ,hug, and a thank you. They not only care for these animals by finding them permanent loving homes but they also educate all in what it takes to be a loving pet parent .

I've had several opportunities to work with this organization & Prima as a fellow rescue volunteer. Not only has she gone out of her way to help my organization hours away (and states away on occasion), she went above and beyond to work with potential adoptive families and shelters on my organization's behalf when we did not have a volunteer nearby. Prima is an angel and one of the best rescuers I've had the honor to know and work with!
