Mission: Our mission is to marshal community resources and strategic alliances with community partners to address the needs of the homeless, those at risk of becoming homeless, and very low income families and individuals through the development and operation of housing affordable to those people and support services to sustain the residents in their housing.
Programs: The Opportunity Center will accomplish this mission by providing: * Two separate service centers, for singles and for families with small children, on the ground floor of the Center, providing a broad range of services to help with basic human needs, as well as enabling people to find stability and housing. * 88 units of housing for singles and for families with small children. * Service to the wider community by providing creative responses to homeless-related problems, and engaging the community in service to those who are homeless and in need. * A positive, caring environment, where promoting the innate dignity of every person is the highest concern. 801 Alma Street Family Housing will fulfill this mission by providing 50 units of permanent housing that is affordable to families at or below 35% Area Median Income and support services to enhance the residents' stability in sustainable housing. Alma Garden will fulfill this mission by providing 10 units of housing that is affordable to individuals at or below 30% Area Median Income, enabling them to remain in stable living circumstances.
