Beverly and the staff at Actors and Others and Animals were amazing to work with! So kind, helpful and compassionate.

I have an older cat named "Miles," who had gotten very skinny. I had blood work done for him but it came out negative. My doctor was still concerned and recommended having an ultrasound done. The cost of vet services has gotten very expensive over the past several years, so when Actors and Others stepped in on my behalf, to help facilitate the procedure, it was very much appreciated by myself and my buddy, "Miles."

Thank you Actors and Others for Animals for 40 years of advocacy for animals! You provide guidance, resources, financial aid for low-income animal lovers, humane education for youth and coordinate pet therapy animals into care facilities where a wagging tail and a few woofs provide valuable comfort. You have greatly helped my efforts for Trap, Neuter and Release of feral cats throughout the years.
My Mother, Dr. Joyce Miller and I have many times benefited from the support and guidance of your wonderful office staff. We believe in Actors and Others for Animals- so much so we have helped raise funds for your continuous efforts for many years.
You recently launched www.spaycalifornia.org which supplies a state-wide referral network/database that provides low cost spay/neuter info - you are always on the front lines.
There are a lot of grateful animals and their humans who send woofs and meows in praise of Actors and Others for Animals!

This wonderful organization was started way back in the early 70's as a result of a horrific incident on a Freeway in Los Angeles when actor Richard Basehart and his wife witnessed a dog being thrown out of a car window into the traffic. Then and there, they decided that something had to be done within the Hollywood community to ensure that this would never happen again and there would be a place for animal rescue, training, neutering, etc. I/we have been donors, volunteers, witnesses, and supporters of AOA for over 30 years. The staff and volunteers of Actors and Others have provided every service possible to the Los Angeles community and the surrounding areas with unquestionable dedication. They are the epitome of dedication for the welfare of our pets. Susan Taylor, Executive Director and Jo Anne Worley the existing President, with all staff, volunteers and wonderful Board Members continue the caring tradition of Actors and Others for Animals. I/we are so very proud to be a part of this organization. We are Mark Blonstein and Don Faircloth
