I am an Army veteran and I only discovered Vet Tix a couple or years ago. I wish I had known about it earlier because it has changed our lives! My wife and I are able to attend events we would have otherwise not attended and I am so very grateful for Vet Tix and the organizations that donate tickets. Going from civilian pay to military pay is rough with four kids....so when my husband was deployed, having Vettix to turn to was a blessing! Our family has been a member for years and if having to verify eligibility is a requirement, then let it be. Why have non-eligible members take away from those that deserve it?
This is far and away the best thank you to Vets project there is. You don't have to be AD, a retiree, or a WW; just a veteran and be able to prove it. I've been to a few events and it has been awesome bonding with fellow veterans! Highly recommended!

I have used this service a few times and have always been treated with the utmost respect. The sign up process and verification process was very easy. There is not a better organization out there. For those that have a problem with the verification process, please look at all the people that are claiming to be veterans and are not.
Amazing organization that does things the right way. They have thought ahead to make sure that the target audience is who they are taking care of, not some scammer. They care about the vets and have done too many good things to mention. I have benefited from their generosity. After attending the sporting event when times were lean, I knew I wanted to give back. Once things became more stable, I had the means to give some back and this is the organization I picked. I don't give my hard earned dollars to just any organization, it has to be one I trust to give back. VetTix leads that list.
Sign up is a snap. Just supply your discharge papers or a photo copy if your current military id and your in. Tickets are easy to obtain. some big or popular events are given by lottery due to high demand. Never had any trouble.
Vet Tix is simply an outstanding organization! I have been a member for 4 years and have always enjoyed, and been thankful, for the tickets I have received. One look at the year to year increase in numbers, of vets and active duty receiving tickets, will tell you that this is a staff who cares and really does make this a great nonprofit organization.
I have used VetTix several times over the last year. This is an outstanding organization doing a wonderful service for veterans. VetTix provides a much needed service for Veterans. The ease of navigation to the website and signing up for the website, surpasses other sites I have used.
Vet Tix has opened the doors for us as a family. My husband is a disabled vet and because of that we have had to adjust in how we spend time together. Thanks to Vet Tix we have been able to do far more then expected. We will continue to use Vet Tix and hope more entertainment venues donate tickets. These veterans deserve to have a good time!!

I appreciate everything that Vettixs done for veterans in Arizona, where I live and all my friends who have served all around the country. All of us who have used them to attend events they normally would not be able to appreciates their efforts. I can't believe this hasn't been done before Vettix.

I couldn't disagree more with the reviews that are complaining about the sign up process, I and many of my friends have found it to be an easy process. Vet Tix has provided myself and a number of other vets / friends the opportunity to spend quality time together at some great events. THANKS
This organization is awesome. I have been given tickets to more than one event. The seats are always great with no hassle getting the tickets. I am thankful to Vet Tics and to all those who support them. Keep up the good work!

Vettix has been the best discovery of mine in years. I couldn't believe that an organization was giving away free sports tickets and I didn't know about it. I have been honered 4 times with free tickets and love sharingt his benefit with family members of mine. Vettix is the best!
Veterans Tickets has provided myself and my family plenty of opportunities for free entertainment. The sign-up process and and verification as indeed needed to make sure that the right people are getting the donated items. I have NEVER had a problem with any of the processes nor have I had a problem with collecting the free tickets.
The sign up process and verification process was easy. (If you read their instructions) I blanked out all sensitive data on my DDForm 214 as directed, uploaded it along with my photo id (Driver's licence) and I was approved the next business day.
Once approved I was able to view all of the open events, one of which was the reason I signed up, entered my request into their lottery and was selected, first time!!
The tickets arrived at my house via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail and I was able to take my wife, and my two sons to their first hockey game.
This was an experience that I would have never been able to afford without VetTix, and it made me realize that people out there really do care about my service, this was the first time anyone has ever told me thank you for serving and it was done in such a great way at that..
I sent a copy of my DD214 to them, but that wasn't good enough they wanted more information, so I sent them a copy of my VA card with my photo on it. I guess that wasn't good enough for them either. I waited a couple of weeks with no reply. I don't know nothing about this organization, and wish I hadn't send all this information to them. I wrote them a note back on there website, and told them to keep there tickets, and to destroy my information I sent them.

From Vet Tix Staff, Only two things could have happened here. 1. What you are saying you submitted isn't what you actually submitted and you are trying to post a negative comment just because you can. or 2. We (Vet Tix) made a mistake. We take verification process very serious. The process is not difficult if you supply the correct verification. In this case I imagine what happened is you supplied a DD214 that was a "short" form and didn't show honorable discharge... We need a "long" form showing that. My guess is that was requested and you didn't supply other supporting documentation. Overall, This problem is very fixable and we are willing to do whatever is necessary to verify members who provide the correct documents.
dpffish, VetTix is an INCREDIBLE organization that does all it can to provide a fantastic service for military members, veterans, and their families. You don't have to provide your DD214 over the internet as it states right on the "create profile" page:
*Documents may be uploaded in our system, postal mailed or faxed
*All uploaded, mailed or faxed documents are destroyed/deleted upon verification.
Give them the opportunity to provide you with some entertainment, you won't be sorry you did!
I have not yet verified my military status as I am uncomfortable providing my DD214 over the internet and to an organization that I am not completely sure about. I am wondering if there is some other way we can verify service or if there is a secure site that I can send this information to?

you can mail it or fax it... we are required to manually verify those applying for veteran status. also you are required to submit a valid ID... there is zero wiggle room and integrity is very important to Vet Tix and ALL members had to do the same and expect the same of all those wanting to join. It appears that this group does great things to get Veterans out and doing events that they other wise wouldn't be able to do. As a disabled veteran I would like to know more about how to request tickets myself so that I can also participate. As I'm sure your group is aware a lot of Vets cannot afford to get out to experience some of the events that are out there on their own, and I am one of them. Thank you for all that you do.
I personally am a Veteran of both the Air Force and Army. I started off in the USAF as a Security Forces Team Member and am currently serving as an 11B in the WI Army NG. My husband and I are both veterans of the U.S. Navy. Only a veteran can understand how the military becomes your world once you become a part of it - even after you leave it. Shipmates are your family, Airmen are your neighbors, and Soldiers and Marines are your best friends. We spend so much time serving our country as part of our jobs that often we fail to take the time to acknowledge how awesome our service really is. On behalf of myself and my fellow veterans, thank you Veteran Tickets Foundation, for your constant devotion and recognition to those that have served. Your efforts provide a small reminder that our friends, family, and country support our sacrifices...and that makes it all worth while. Since discovering Vettix.org I have personally assisted in handing out over three thousand tickets to baseball games, haunted houses, football games, comedy shows, special events, and much, much more. When we show up our tickets often say "veteran" somewhere on them...so you can imagine the thank yous and handshakes that follow as we are checked in an seated. Your organization gives veterans everywhere just one more reason to stand up tall when the announcer calls for all veterans to be acknowledged. Thank you.
Through them I was able to get tickets for a college football game and to see the Nutcracker in Dallas! This is a great organization and if I ever have tickets that I can't use I'll be sending them to VET TIX!
I met Michael Focareto during the time he decided to create this project to help others. On the surface, what appears to be just a ticket venue, is much more. Many foundations and charities are set up to feed and cloth but those are just the items for survival, this group focused on the moments that make life special and create memories that might otherwise be missed. Life is more than existing, it should be about living a shared moment of happiness. They give small windows of opportunity to do so.
VetTix is an excellent organization, allowing our Vets and active duty service personnel and their families the opportunity to attend all kinds of events they most likely would never get the chance to on their own. It's a great feeling for me to be able to give tickets to college basketball games of my alma mater to them!
With the limited options that service members have these days to stretch a dollar, Vettix has gone above and beyond to give us a variety of events. I constantly mention Vettix to my troops and they have all thought it wad the best thing since the MWR here on base.

I found out about VET Tix through a coworker and signed up. The registration was easy and the first set of tcickets I received was to an Avalanche hockey game. The first professional game of anything I had attended. My wife daugter and I had a blast. I had a question and emailed it and received a call from VET Tix. That was surpising and welcome. All my questions were answered and I am still a member and recommend it to vetreans I meet.

Tremendous organization doing great work. I was fortunate to receive help from this organization a few years ago. They are true professionals and care deeply about their clientele.
This organization does wonderful things for Veterans, things we wouldn't normally be able to get on our own. I have been with them from close to the beginning of their existence and I have never had a problem with their services. I have been to MANY different events and donate extra with each purchase I make with them. I hope they stay open for a long time! I will support them until I am a Veteran of this planet! I hope the best for them. They have great customer service and respond back to you immediately, usually resolving any problem you have withing 24 hours.
I thing what this is organization is doing is fantastic. If you think about people who serve in the military are well under payed. This organization gives them a chance to do activities that they may not be able to afford to do. It's a great organization doing great work for people who really deserve it.

I join with thousands upon thousands of veterans to express my deepest gratitude to VetTix. After what so many of us have been through, it is really easy to dig in and isolate ourselves from the outside world. VetTix, more than any other veterans' organization, gives us the opportunity to feel normal- to get out of the very dark spaces that we can so easily revert to. For the veteran who may carry past trauma wherever we go, VetTix has given us a very healthy escape. VetTix coordinates a broad range of culture and events as a way to show appreciation for the sacrifices we've made. VetTix spends thousands of hours locating and coordinating with unbelievably generous donors to give us opportunities that we would never have available without them. If that weren't enough, we get to share these events with loved ones as a way to say Thank You for their support of those who served. VetTix is an amazing organization and my life, and those of so many veterans, would be missing so much by way of quality and normalcy, were it not for the outstanding founders and staff that make VetTix tick!

Great organization! Myself and many others in my unit have benefited from the generosity of the Vet Tix organization. I was deployed and could not, take my daughter to a ballet concert on my own. Vet Tix set it up so that a family member could take her in my place. I advertise and contribute to Vet Tix whenever I have a little extra. Thank you for what you do!
There are many charities that help the military returning from combat, or with service related injuries. What makes VetTix stand out is it gives every service member the opportunity for entertainment that they may not otherwise get the chance to do. As a military service member member that has personally used this organization, I highly recommend them!

This is the best Veteran organization hands down. They provide entertainment and a break from the everyday life to our Veterans around the nation. I don't know another organization like Vettix nor one that helps as many veterans as Vettix does.
Veteran Tickets Foundation is a great non-profit that has helped many veterans and active service members, including myself overcome some adversities during and after military service. Veteran Tickets continued support and service to the armed forces, makes serving our great country even more fulfilling, knowing we have the support of our community and organizations such as Veteran Tickets.
Without VETTIX I would have never seen or been to the things I have. they let veterans like me know someone does care and thanks you greatly . They have helped to build my family back together by all the events I have attended. Could have never gone without Vettix and for that I thank you for the sevice you have done for all military.

Vet Tix is an incredible organization that fulfills Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines wishes from concerts to ball games thanks to the generosity of thier donors. An outstanding organization that serves military members without predjudice.
My husband has been in Afghanistan for a total of 25 months since 2009. When he got home from his last tour we had a new baby as well as our oldest (who was only 6 months when he left). The first few months adjusting to the daddy roll with a 5 month old and an 18 month old were tough! Vettix gave us tickets to go to the Orion fest and we got to see Metallica. It was a fabulous weekend in Atlantic city seeing one of his favorite bands and have some time together! Thanks for all your hardwork vettix!

Our experience has been very positive. I have praise both for Vettix and the organizations that donate to them. "Fear Farm" donated 2,000 tickets & we had an incredible night out with teenagers. It was a win, win situation. We visited early in the season & then told lots of people about how great it is. (The Alien part was new to us and absolutely incredible.) The fee for delivery & processing is very reasonable indeed. I can honestly state we would not have a social life like this without ticket donations as we are a one income family & purchasing tickets to events adds up. I look forward to donating in the future too as the thought of other veterans getting to have lovely, life changing experiences is a wonderful cause.
What can I say about this amazing charity? My father has been deployed around seven times since 9/11, and sadly this means we have missed out on some memories we may have had. However, thanks to Vet Tixs we got to go to a Kathy Griffin show and meet her! We will never get back those memories we have lost, but at least now we have this story to remember. It was incredible for me to hear Kathy Griffin thank my father for his service. Thank you so much Vet Tixs and your donors for being so kind to these soldiers. It means the world to me for me to know that my father has seen the appreciation of his service from this charity. This tickets may not seem like a lot to other people, but to me the show how much people care.
I can't say enough good things about Veteran Tickets Foundation... because of what they do my family and I have been to events we never would have thought about going too. The smile on my wife's face when I took her to her first opera was priceless. I have spent many years away from my family and each time I go to a Vet Tix event I feel appreciated and I'm able to connect all over again with my family. Vet Tix ROCKS!!!

We think that Veterans Tickets Foundation is a great way for members of the community who want to give something back to veterans, but just don't know how, to do something either by donating tickets or just supporting the organization. I can't say enough about the Veteran Tickets Foundation!! I have been to the drag races in Tucson, 2 NASCAR races in Phoenix, a Padres baseball game, and my latest tickets were to a Charlie Daniels concert in Shreveport, LA. I actually got to meet Charlie Daniels!

I have gone out of my way to inform fellow veterans about VetTix, just an incredible organization.
My husband served 15 years in the Military and is a Veteran of O.I.F. We have been able to go to some awesome events because of VetTix's. Our kids have been able to enjoy concerts and shows that we would have probably never been able to take them too because of VetTix. Many organizations don't offer discounts and free events to our Veterans, only active duty and VetTix always supports all who have served. Great way to show our Military and Veterans that their community supports them and their families.
My husband suffered from severe PTSD and took his own life 11 days after returning from his first tour in Iraq. I was extremely disappointed to find out that this organization does not recognize him as a veteran because he did not die 'under enemy fire'. Thus, being a veteran's widow, I cannot benefit in any way from "Vet Tix". If only more people would recognize that veterans die in many ways other than enemy fire, and it does not make them any less of a veteran who gave their life for our country.

We are very sorry for your loss and we absolutely consider your husband a veteran. That isn't the issue here. You are asking to be part of this foundation. We would require to see your DD214. Veterans themselves and Active Duty Military themselves have to create the accounts as part of our 501c3 determination letter and our "program requirements". Veterans are required to submit their DD214 and it must state Honorable discharge. Spouse or PNOK (primary next of kin) of KIA must submit Report of Casualty DD Form 1300 with a valid governmental photo id after the signup process. NOTE: Your name must be listed on the Report of Casualty DD Form 1300. All requirements are listed clearly on our http://www.vettix.org/signup.php

I've donated to VetTix a couple times and the experience has been outstanding each time. I received personal attention from their staff--who even remembered me from year to year. They are prompt, flexible, and very professional, even when there is a time crunch. I usually receive a follow-up phone call to my donation offer within 2 hours, and arrangements are set soon thereafter. I receive my donation receipt within an hour of confirming the donation. VetTix has allowed me to make someone else's day when I'm not able to attend events for which I'd bought tickets. I've recommended them many times to colleagues and fellow sporting fans. This is a wonderful service for our military and their families.
VetTix is quite simply a great organization dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of our nation's Veterans. Without VetTix, many Veterans would never be able to fulfill their dreams of seeing their favorite sports team or media event in person. That is true for me and for many other Veterans.
I am a veteran and my husband is still active after 25 years. We were recipients of tickets to a New Orleans Saints football game. I felt like we wont the lottery. The generous donor gave us her seats 20 rows from the field. We had club access to the Bunker Lounge and it was like being treated as royalty. When we got there, a security guard actually moved us up a few rows! We were utterly spoiled. We have 6 children and dont get the opportunity to get out much. Because of Vet Tix facilitating this and the true generosity of the donor, we were able to make a memory that will not soon be forgotten.
I can't say enough about the Veteran Tickets Foundation (VetTix), these guys work relentlessly around the clock to make sure that active duty military and veterans' families can attend events that are normally out of reach due to financial costs. Their system is fair for distribution of tickets and they verify each individual to make sure that they are indeed who they say they are and are currently serving or have served. VetTix allowed me and many others to attend events that were out of reach and for that I am extremely thankful!
