Our team from Evertree Insurance Services in Frankfort had a wonderful experience volunteering with My Joyful Heart! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and showed us just how impactful their work is. We helped pack hygiene kits, sorted clothing donations, and moved supplies in the warehouse. Most importantly, we all left with a deeper appreciation for the critical support they provide to over 1,200 low-income children in our local area. It was especially meaningful to see how much care goes into meeting each child’s individual needs - from towels and deodorant to school supplies and bedding. The entire experience was well-organized and deeply rewarding.Thank you for the opportunity to be part of something so important and we look forward to coming back!

Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development, Youth Development Programs
Mission: As a faith-based organization, My Joyful Heart endeavors to be a positive influence to children in need by remembering them with basic life essentials, school supplies, clothing, toys and encouragement throughout each year until their situation improves or they move from the area. My Joyful Heart provides the little things that may often be missing in the life of a child in need. By providing these gifts regularly throughout the year we extend love and hope to these children, making them feel special and letting them know that people do care.
Results: Since 2002, we have grown from supporting two children to providing year-round assistance to over 1,100 children in the Chicago area and suburbs. In 2023, we hope to increase the number of children served to 1200 +. We can do this with your help! Please help us Bring Hope.

Programs: In 2023, My Joyful Heart is providing 5 rounds of basic necessities to over 1,100 registered children. The children receive gift bags throughout the year. Daily essentials that are missing in their lives such as hygiene products, clothing, bedding, toys, books, school supplies and more are carefully chosen for each child and their needs.
