Causes: Children & Youth, Environment, Garden Clubs, Health, Youth Development Programs
Mission: To educate, activate, motivate and empower youth in the areas of academic achievement, health, fitness, nutrition and total wellness.
Results: Since January of 2011, we have impacted the lives of over 60,000 students through our programs including summer camps, workshops, back-to-school initiatives, scholarship funds, and garden projects. We have taught thousands of children the principles of agriculture and healthy eating by teaching them to plant, nurture and harvest a garden. Each year we educate hundreds of students about fitness, nutrition, and healthcare through our workshops and summer camp. Additionally, we support the less fortunate by donating thousands of school items such as book bags, lunch boxes, and other supplies to underprivileged kids in homeless shelters for back to school. As of 2024, we have awarded $80,000 in college scholarships to high school students for their first year of college. Through our program the Pinnacle Youth Scholarship Fund, deserving HS seniors can apply for $1,000 or $2,000 scholarships to pay for college expenses to cover books or a laptop. These students attend school in the Atlanta Public School System or Dekalb County School System (GA). Our students are among the best and brightest who want to major in STEAM, medicine, education, or culinary arts. We are making an impact in the community! Live Healthy & Thrive Youth Foundation is saving and changing the lives of our youth, one child at a time, one family at a time, and one community at a time. Thanks for your support.
Target demographics: children get healthy, fit, educated and empowered. Also to help them get a college education.
Direct beneficiaries per year: A Dekalb County Public school of 650+ students were impacted by our garden program where we built a garden from the ground up. Additionally, over 1500 students receive school supplies at schools, homeless shelters and private schools. In 2024, 7 students received a total of $10,000 in college scholarships. This amount brings our YTD total of scholarships awarded to $80,000.
