This is a unique place where discarded senior dogs are given love, safety and shelter for their remaining time on earth. Frankie and Andy's Place is run by very caring and competent volunteers. By allowing professionally led groups to meet there is a perfect way for humans to have the opportunity to receive from as well as give love to the sweet elderly residents. As a professional who has used my dog in therapy, I know first hand the power of healing with canines. I will continue to support this organization and hope to be a volunteer in the future.
FAAP is truly an amazing place ! The Millers had a vision and I'm so lucky to be able to share it with them ! It's very therapeutic to volunteer at FAAP. The love and joy is shared by the residents and the volunteers
FAAP is an amazing dream come true not only for its residents but for the volunteers as well. We all dream of one day rescuing dogs, winning the lottery and opening a facility. Pete and Penny didn't dream, THEY MADE IT HAPPEN. Those animals that were once neglected, starving, dumped at the shelter for being "old" or for a new puppy are given a chance to live life as God intended them to; by our sides. The only thing better than opening another similar facility in the future would be to spend time here and love on these sweet, so grateful dogs! Consider donating to this amazing group! I've never met a better group, and the people are nice too! ;)
The people who run this place and those who volunteer are remarkable! Their deep and sincere love for the dogs is palpable. I cannot imagine a more loving setting for any dogs, but especially for the older dogs who no longer have homes of their own.
I've followed this organization since its inception and could not be more impressed with the work they're doing! Thank God for organizations like this that help save these beautiful dogs!
Frankie and Andy's Place is a singularly special life-saving dream come true for old souls who have loved loyally and given everything but who find themselves without a warm, caring, loving home in which to live out their lives. I love old dogs and they are true gems. Unfortunately, some people don't see them as the wonderful angels they are. An exception is the owners, staff and volunteers of Frankie and Andy's Place. I volunteer at Frankie and Andy's and enjoy spending time giving and receiving love with residents. These lucky dogs enjoy a home, a beautiful and peaceful environment, comfort, excellent care and food and they procide unconditional love and a source of happines for anyone lucky enough to spend time with them. I wholeheartedly recommend volunteering with Frankie and Andy's Place...you will receive more than you give.
A dog is man's best friend and a man is a dog's best friend. Nowhere is this more evident than at Frankie and Andy's Place. The senior dogs in this center are rescued from shelters or other negative situations. They are given comfort, love, and security. In turn, they give those same things back to humans at senior centers and other situations where a little unconditional love and warmth is needed. The happiness on the dogs faces is undeniable and the love and dignity with which they are treated is amazing.
The Millers and their volunteers love dogs and are able to make the last days, weeks, or months of a dogs life a little piece of heaven in earth.
Beautiful atmosphere. Beautiful caregivers. Beautiful dogs.. We should all be so blessed to live our last good and bad days in such an environment surrounded with so much beauty and peace! Such an extraordinary mission of love.
Frankie and Andy's Place is a non-profit charity that answers prayers offered for many frosty-faced canines in need from all over the northeast GA area. It's a cabin nestled in the woods, offering rescued senior dogs a quiet place of repose--with love and nurturing from an all-volunteer staff as well as home cooked meals that meet the needs of each guest. As one of many volunteers and donors who enjoy spending time with our beloved seniors, I receive much more from them than I could ever give.
Great place for rescues! They help in a community where the local county animal shelter has to put down a lot of animals. They help these animals find a forever home instead.
