Mission: Mission Statement
To develop a successful adoption program for the abused, neglected, abandoned, or unwanted animals within the city of Denison, Texas. To eliminate the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals. To develop a network of partners and businesses to fund this endeavor, and to create an organization that oversees animal welfare within the city of Denison. To raise funds to pay for veterinary care and fees associated with animal rescue.
Results: We have turned a 95% kill rate at our animal impound facility into a 98% live outcome rate!

Programs: The Denison Animal Welfare Group is a collection of volunteers dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of pets in need, education, and access to low-cost spay/neuter / vaccination programs.

When she finally dumped him at the shelter at eighteen months, DAWG swooped in and saved him. We drove 2.5 hours out to meet him a day or two after they’d had him altered, and they gave us the opportunity to walk him around other dogs in a nice wooded area behind their building. It was a total match for us! DAWG were so easy to work with and I really liked the overall vibe of their organization. Thank you DAWG for helping Rudy find a home he doesn’t want to run away from
