I've been mentoring a teenage girl through Youth Connections since 2008, and love the programs the organization puts on to better educate the kids on life skills, such as career readiness, health and financial planning. Any kid would benefit from the programs Youth Connections hosts. I've served as a mentor through another program in the past, and commend Youth Connections on its extra effort to build deeper relationships with its mentors and mentees. I'm proud to now also serve on the board, and love being around such a passionate group of people who work for and run this nonprofit.

I can remember the great influence my mentor made in my life when I was little. It demonstrated to me as I grew older we all need someone and we can't get through life successfully solely on our own. So, with what I've learned I am fortunate to be part of an organization that provides me the opportunity to assist with the growth of another individual.

It is an honor to be part of an organization that supports our youth and families in need of positive influences. There are children who have grown with the organization since it's inception and continue to strive for greatness. The new office will help support additional youth in the surrounding communities and give an opportunity for parents to have the support of individuals who want to make a difference.
I would encourage anyone to come be a part of the YC organization whether through a one time volunteer opportunity or a mentor in your area.
