Mission: The ywca is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
Programs: Program services accomplishments the overall program of the organization plans to create opportunities for the growth, leadership and empowerment of women in order to attai n a common vision of peace, justice, freedom, dignity, and the elimination of racism. The specific program achievements during the year include the following: a) the universal preschool, which is primarily funded by the orange board of education, was opened for 260 days with an enrollemnt of 120 children. In addition, the program offered family services provided by counselors, offered parent meetings and seminars/workshops conducted to address family issues and provided general information to assit in child development. B) the youthworks aftershcool program, which is funded by grants, contributions and program fees, was offered for 260 days and served 100 students. The program offerss tutoring services, parent functions, student showcases, njpac workshops, and community service projects.
