Mission: As a nonprofit social service agency with a focus on youth, ymca camp coniston creates experiences that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Programs: Camp - residential camping is used as a youth development tool for children 8 to 16 years each summer. Approximately 1600 campers, primarily from new hampshire and massachusetts, participate in programs that help children learn resilience and self-sufficiency that will help them successfully navigate the growing pains of adolescence. Offerings include a traditional two week session, a one week session for younger campers, adventure trips for teens, and service trips working with those less fortunate.
afterschool - a fun, safe and nurturing environment is provided to children from the end of their academic day to 6:00pm, when all afterschool sites close. The program is offered at 5 local elementary schools, and services approximately 200 children.
