Mission: The ymca of van wert county was organized as a local unit of the national ymca organization. The ymca is a worldwide fellowship, united by a common loyalty to jesus christ, for the purpose of developing chtistian character and building a christian society.
Programs: Preschool programs-gym, swim instruction, tumbleweeds, kid power, gymnastics. Serving approx 5,000 youth programs-gym, swim instruction, recreational soccer, baseball, basketball, gymnastics, baton corps, cheerleading, summer camps. Serving approx 4,000 adult programs-gym, swim instruction, recreational basketball, vollyball, racquetball, handball, fitness classes, aquacises, aquaerobics. Serving approx 3,000 senior citizens-swim and exercise classes, walking programs, doing exercises at nursing homes.
