Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Human Services, Thrift Shops, Young Mens or Womens Associations
Mission: Building community through learning, leadership and service. We annually service over 25,000 community members through the programs, use over 1,200 volunteers which give in excess of 10,000 hours, and partner with dozens of other community groups to best address the needs of the new river valley.
Programs: Thrift shops: promote regional sustainability programs for re-used / re-purposed items, recycling, and textiled goods while also providing low-cost shopping alternatives for needed products.
student programs: provide leadership development and volunteer opportunities for over 500 college-level students annually.
gardens program: focuses on promoting sustainable food sources through gardening practices with education and hands-on activities. Provides assistance to local food banks.
