Causes: Human Services, Young Mens or Womens Associations
Mission: The ymca is essentially a membership organization of men, women, and children of all ages, abilities, incomes, races, and religions. It is dedicated to building healthy spirit, mind, and body of individuals and families. It puts christian principles into practice through programs that promote good health, strong families, youth leadership, community development, and international understanding. The ymca is a community service organization that meets community needs and is open to all ages, abilities, and incomes that meets the health and social service needs of the family, and that emphasizes that development of values and the encouragement of moral and ethical behavior based on christian beliefs.
Programs: Ymca - programs and services that build healthy spirits, minds and bodies. These programs include aquatics, youth sports, child care, fitness, and gymnastics. The ymca welcomes all, regardless of age, race, gender, faith, ethnicity, ability or religion; dues are based on community affordability; financial assistance is available.
adult training facility - the ymca adult training facility is a day program which provides services in training independent living skills to adults between the ages of 18 and 59, who are mentally and physically challenged. The program objectives include training to promote more independent living, employment skills and increased social development. Trainees will learn decision making skills and personal and public safety training to promote community competence.
