This caring group of people helps disadvantaged individuals work their way out of poverty. Yobel's training program is a great example of teaching people how to fish (rather than handing out fish). It allows people to gain self-respect by learning how to support their family in safe and legal ways. Yobel seems to be careful with the funds entrusted to them and has a great contemporary approach.
Yobel is an amazing nonprofit that focuses on business education for all ages worldwide. No prior schooling needed. After using their 30 hour curriculum, the student receives a certificate, is highly employable, typically starts up a new business that meets the needs of their area, increases their own income, is able to pay for their child's education, which in turn lowers human trafficking in their area and removes them from poverty. Their model of ending modern slavery and removing poverty is attainable and contagious. Typically a student will share their new found knowledge with 16 others. Other organizations can partner with Yobel and train their leaders on their curriculum, or a Yobel team member can travel with your team and teach a class where your mission is located.
