Causes: Public Transportation Systems
Mission: To provide public transit services in rural areas of north central arizona, primarily to seniors, persons with disabilities, and persons of low income to create access to essential services, employment, education, recreation and social settings at an affordable cost.
Programs: Yavapai regional transit exists solely for the purpose of providing public transit services in the tri-city area of central yavapai county in north central arizona. Over a nine year period, yrt has evolved from a dedicated senior center transportation program in a rural community to a public transit service connecting that community with two other more urban population centers, creating access to shopping, medical appointments, governmental services, education, employment, and recreation.
