Mission: To advocate and assist persons toward sefl-sufficiency
Results: Our Community Food Bank is one of 20 regional food banks in Oregon's Food Bank network. In 2009 we collected, stored and distributed one million pounds of food to 26 local partners and helped more than 70,000 people. Hunger is increasing and we are building a new facility to better serve our area.
Target demographics: Our clients include seniors and those with disabilities who struggle with fixed incomes, as well as individuals and families who are in low-wage positions or seeking employment, survivors of domestic violence, migrant families, homeless families and at-risk youth
Programs: The food bank program provides nutritious food and resources to low income households. The program includes food distribution, food recovery and local food drives.
