Mission: Yaffed is dedicated to improving secular education curricula in ultra-orthodox and hasidic yeshivas across ny through awareness, advocacy, and grassroots campaigns.
Programs: Awareness program- yaffed raises awareness within the hasidic community of the need for more and better quality secular education. We also raise awareness outside the hasidic community of what is happening to tens of thousands of children attending many hasidic boys' schools. We urge the public to hold city and state officials accountable.
advocacy program- we urge city and state government officials to enforce the "substantial equivalency" law in hasidic yeshivas.
grassroots program- we organize hasidic parents, yeshiva graduates, and other stakeholders to speak up and demand improvemens to the hasidic yeshiva system through greater government oversight and enforcement.
general program- general support to fulfill the mission of the organization.
