Our classes and workshops include but not limited to the following: Personal Goal Assessment Self Esteem & Confidence Building Time Management Resumes and Biographies Exploring Continuing Education Options LET US KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO EXPERIENCE Key Personnel & Operations Staff World Burns has a Board of three Directors that are responsible for jointly overseeing the activities of our organization. The Directors also serve in other program capacities and responsibilities as well. A brief description their responsibilities follows below. Francis Burns (CHAIR) : Responsible for setting long and short term goals, objectives and priorities in meeting the needs of the community. The Chair also ensures that the Board of Directors and its members are aware of and fulfill their governance responsibilities and comply with applicable laws and bylaws. Lyn Austin (VICE CHAIR): Assists in establishing overall long and short term goals, objectives and priorities in meeting the needs of the community. The Vice Chair fulfills the Chair position in the absence of the Chairperson and is one of the signing authority on behalf of the Board for financial and legal purposes. Theresa Calloway (DIRECTOR): Supports the Board's operations and mission by overseeing the consistent delivery of quality programs, products and services to the community at large. Also supplies recommendations for the organization's yearly budget and assists in setting guidelines for the expenditure of resources accordingly. ABOUT US The general aim of our programs is to contribute towards the improvement of the quality of life for individuals and families; including physical, social, cultural, vocational and intellectual.

Programs: Through our programs we hope to improve the community's eating habits and increase its level of physical activity, as well as increase the community's knowledge and skills in self care, effective productivity and better home economics.
