Mission: Workforce connections, inc. Was formed to prepare youth and unskilled adults for entry into the workforce and to provide economically disadvantaged individuals and others facing barriers to employment with education and job training opportunities in the western wisconsin counties of crawford, jackson, juneau, la crosse, monroe, pepin, trempealeau and vernon. Workforce connections, inc. 's mission is to connect people, work, and training while advancing self-sufficiency. We accomplish our mission by being financially sound, performance driven, value-based, well-trained, and dedicated to organizational development and stakeholder relationships.
Programs: Adult programs-provide employment and training services under title 1 of the workforce investment act including adult, dislocated worker, special response grants, national emergency grants programs related to on-the-job training and other types of individualized training to disadvantaged adults and dislocated workers. For the last 14 years, the organization has met or exceeded all state performance standards for the program, and recently local standards have been included, and are being met.

other programs-windows to work promotes self-sufficiency for individuals returning to the community through skill development and cognitive behavioral training. Wisconsin works (w-2) assists individuals in meeting his/her employment & career goals. Individualized services are provided to each participant through workforce connections staff, partner agencies, and wisconsin job centers. Each participant receives the help they need to develop clear employment goals and the guidance and support needed to experience employment success. The foodshare employment & training (fset) program is a no-cost program that helps foodshare recipients build their job skills and find employment. Adults needing to meet the work requirement can participate in fset to continue to receive foodshare benefits.
