Mission: The association is committed to developing partnerships with parents, which support their role as primary educators of their children. The association delivers quality, comprehensive early childhood education and family support programs that enhance the growth and development of children and families that respond to their changing needs and that contribute to the betterment of the community.
Programs: Head start - federally funded program providing quality comprehensive early childhood education to 234 disadvantaged pre-school children and various support services to their families.
child care - comprehensive early education and child care services provided for approx. 84 children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, allowing parents to go to school and/or be gainfully employed.
ri pre-kindergarten - a state funded program providing a high quality, pre-kindergarten education experience for 80 four and five year old city residents.
bright stars quality awards - monthly awards from the rhode island department of human services, office of child care - using federal race to the top - early learning challenge funds - based on the rhode island's tiered quality rating and improvement system to assist qualifying early education and care programs manage the costs associated with the delivery of a high quality program.
