I've been a member of the Woodside Village Church for over 50 years. Pastor Ama has brought new life into the church. She has set up a warm and loving community, one that is open to all. Pastor Ama's sermons are always thought-provoking and uplifting. I am thankful for her work and look forward to each Sunday.
I came to Woodside Village Church at the recommendation of a friend to attend a bible study there. I am new to Christianity and have been unsure about how to read and study the bible. Pastor Ama met with me individually first to see if she could answer any of my questions. Pastor Ama has been such a welcoming and radiantly joyous person to be around that I keep coming back! My husband and I have both decided to become members of the church. I am attracted to how Woodside Village Church has made itself a community hub where everyone is welcome. I am so thankful to be a part of this wonderful community.
This is the most "inclusive" and uplifting church that I have ever been associated with. We partner doing all sorts of reactive relief work in Northern California, for example after the wildfires. Amazing pastor. Non-traditional music, and holiday pageants. Literally, they bring live animals into the church as part of the Christmas celebration, acted out by kids. One 12 year old girl playing "Mary", actually borrows a live baby to hold on stage and in the manger.
Woodside Village Church has been a part of our family for over 40 years! Pastor Ama is the most amazing wonderful pastor in the world! Our daughter, Stella, got baptized here last Christmas and it was such a beautiful and magical experience!
The Woodside Village Church has been an integral part of our community for over 100 years. Thanks to Pastor Ama's leadership, it continues to provide a welcoming environment for both residents and visitors. The Woodside Village Church and Pastor Ama have been an enormous support to us in our efforts to distribute much needed aid to local homeless and foster children as well as children in need around the world. Pastor Ama is an endless resource of inspiration and positive energy. The Woodside Village Church is a great place where the community comes together in the spirit of Christ.
This is a truly extraordinary church. Pastor Ama has created a growing community despite the challenges of covid 19 2020. I have been attending the Bible study on Tuesdays in the outdoor courtyard and on Zoom for many months. I came because Pastor Ama made a personal effort to meet me for coffee after I expressed that I wasn't Christian but was curious. She is open-minded, non-judgmental extremely loving, kind and supportive as well as inspiring. I truly hope that many many people find what I have found with this church and community. I cannot wait for us to all be back in person inside the beautiful church. If you reach out, Ama will make an effort to make you feel included and offer a feeling of belonging. This is a special place! WVC has a warm and friendly community of dedicated and thoughtful Christians who express the true spirit of giving, volunteering, and mutual support. Pastor Ama is a passionate and energetic shepherd of the congregation as well as a knowledgeable theologian. This is a perfect Christian community for anyone seeking a warm, friendly, and supportive place of worship and reflection in a beautiful setting of pastoral splendor.
This spiritual place is above and beyond anything you could be wishing from a congregation. High spirits, lovely members, and thought-provoking mass create an atmosphere for reflection and thought I’ve found almost nowhere else. Pastor Ama continually manages to reach deep into her soul and bring out the word of God in new and passionate ways. I could not recommend a better place to worship.
I have lived in Woodside for 35 plus years and had rarely stepped foot in the Village Church. Then one day this bright, beautiful, enthusiastic pastor came to town. She had a vision for a new path for the church which included starting the Village Hub. How she got my name I still don't know, but she pulled together a group of total strangers to work on this project, and the end result was the creation of the Village Hub, a serene place for the community to come together for coffee, classes, concerts and so much more. Meanwhile all of this new energy channeled new people into the church which has been transformed from a handful of parishioners to an enthusiastic dedicated congregation. Pastor Ama and her vision has brought more to this town to foster community and brotherhood and it is a wonderful thing.
