Mission: Working from the roots up, challenging society, engaging communities, and supporting women and their families to actively participate in their health and the health of their environments. Women''s Cancer Action creates change through support, outreach, advocacy, education, partnership, and political action.
Programs: Primary exempt purpose is to provide information, advocacy and support for women with cancer and their caregivers; and to educate the community about cancer prevention and the links with the environment. 1-800 telephone line staffed with cancer survivors and women knowledgeable about cancer issues, treatment choices. Quarterly newsletter. Ongoing support groups. Outreach into communities throughout the greater Minneapolis area.
