Causes: Chambers of Commerce & Business Leagues
Mission: The corporation is created and shall be operated to support and promote the business interests of retail lumber and building material dealers and their suppliers in wisconsin and the upper peninsula of michigan. Specifically, the corporation is organized to provide professional education and training; to disseminate educational and promotional material about the retail lumber and building material industry, its products and its applications to the general public; and to provide scholarship aid to students in wisconsin and the upper peninsula of michigan.
Programs: During 2017, the foundation awarded scholarships to 16 individuals who are enrolled in a college, university, or accredited vocational program of high learning and who have interest in a career that centers on, or supports, the lumber and building materials industry, the building trades, or in small business management. The foundation also provided tuition assistance to members' employees who attended educational programs for the lumber and building materials industry. The foundation provided a speaker sponsorship for the annual wisconsin lumber dealers convention.
