Mission: The wisconsin asbestos victims network is an organization formed to promote social welfare and advocate for public policies that benefit wisconsin residents who are victims of asbestos exposure and to educate the general public on the effects of mesothelioma and other asbestos related diseases.
Programs: Wisconsin asbestos victims network spent 2013 educating the general public, the wisconsin state legislature, and the veterans' community regarding the profound effect of asbestos exposure to veterans and other workers exposed during their service. The organization exerted effort in lobbying against assembly bill 19 and senate bill 13 that would create detrimental hurdles to victims of asbestos exposure who were knowingly and intentionally exposed by large corporations and industry. In addition to lobbying against these two pieces of legislation, the organization conducted online educational seminars, issued various public releases addressing the issue and informing the public of the facts, and sent out direct mail to households around the state informing them about mesothelioma and other asbestos related diseases.
