Mission: The organization's purpose is to provide library services, early literacy storytimes, encourage teen reading, and create unique educational classes for residents of all ages.
Programs: The program service expenses incurred enable the library to provide life long equal opportunity education to everyone in winter park at little or no charge to them. This library is uniquely equipped to support self directed education and instructive and enlightening experiences for all ages. Babies and toddlers learn early literacy skills; young students are encouraged to explore reading and science; our tween librarian offers opportunities specifically for the age group transitioning between grade school to high school; teens learn new skills, preparation for college and adulting skills. Our programs enhance higher education programs or help adults learn new skills on their own. We offer classes on new and emerging technologies to keep (continued on schedule o)adults up on the latest technologies. Later in life, you might want to learn about a new career. We offer opportunities for seniors to gather, share and learn for the rest of their life. We are the only public institution that is a part of your educational life, all of your life. This year we served 31,000 people in 1975 formal classes.
