Mission: To carry out the objectives of wrmc hospital operating corporation through the employment of physician who provide excellent healthcare and a variety of services for the community and surrounding areas.
Programs: Wilkes physician network ("wpn") operates to carry out the charitable objectives of wrmc hospital operating corporation ("wrmc") through employment of physicians in the essential field of primary care medicine. Wpn consists of four family/internal medicine practices, a general surgery clinic, a gastroenterology clinic and outpatient endoscopy suite, an orthopaedic surgical practice, a hospitalist group, a women's ob/gyn practice, and an after-hours urgent care center. Total patient visits for the fiscal year ending 09/30/14 were 68,560. Please see schedule o for a continuation of the program service accomplishments. In september of 2014 wilkes physician network ("wpn") opened west wilkes family medicine, located at 171 west wilkes medical center road, ferguson, nc 28624 offering primary care and walk-in acute care.
