Mission: Wildlife Guardians' mission is to promote the survival of the African lion and other imperiled native species in their natural habitats by reducing human-wildlife conflict; advancing related social and scientific research and policy, and educating the public on the plight and value of saving imperiled species.
Programs: The lion guardians contributes to wildlife guardians objective of protecting african lions. Lion guardians is a non-profit llc in kenya working to conserve lions in southern kenya and northeren tanzania by recruiting young non-literate maasai warriers to become actively engaged in protecting lions rather than killing them. Lion guardians monitor lion movement, warn farmers when lions are in the area, recover livestock, reinforce protecting livestock fencing and intervene to stop lion hunting parties.
the niassa carnivore projects work contributes to wildlife guradians objective of protecting african lions. The grant was used to promote lion conservation in mozambique by reducing the number of lions killed in illegal bush-meat snares in the niassa national reserve
