DO NOT TRUST SUE!!! if I could give a 0 star review I would. I called in regards to a baby cottontail that was abandoned this past Friday. I called "Sue" crying , as we all know fostering an animal can be a rollercoaster. What happened next shocked me. Sue told me I should stop crying because there are worst things going on in the world and I was speechless. woman clearly lacks EMPATHY and i would not trust her with any animal. If the situation were handled professionally and Sue was more empathetic and understanding I would not be writing this review. I am an animal lover and will call out those who don't deserve to work alongside them. Sue could clearly CARE LESS about my cottontail and was more concerned with being rude. I have since found a new rehabber, one that listened and understood where I was coming from. The rehabber i chose is an absolute angel and is going to help me get my wild boy out into his natural habitat. The rehabber was also shocked by Sue response as the rehabber told me she gets plenty of phonecalls with upset rescuers. To conclude, I would never in my life recommend SUE. She lacks all the aspects that make a rehabber amazing. Her PROFESSIONALISM and EMPATHY are LACKING. Ultimately, Sue has no social skills and should not be in charge of customer service. I hope WildLife Aid can discuss this with Sue so she can learn to be a better person. Sue wrote me a nasty text message that I pasted below as proof. She had every opportunity to apologize and did not. I don't understand how someone can work with animals and be a husk of a shell of a human.
Below is Sues text message to me
"Good. I don't need to deal with ridiculous emotions over a healthy rabbit. Everyday I have to deal with animals that are tortured and dying and I don't get all upset and crying because you just have to do your best. How the hell can anybody understand what the problem is if you're hysterical. So please lose my number and write whatever review you want I couldn't care less"
I hope you reconsider Sue position at Wildlife Aid. this is so wrong as I was upset and just needed help from a professional. I want what's best for my wild cottontail is all .
They are amazing! We had a mother raccoon who had babies in the wall of our building. We called a wildlife removal service that works with Wildlife Aid. They got mom & the babies out, took them to be rehabbed & released. They are the only group in the area that I know of that is dedicated to the rescue & rehab of all wild critters in our area.
I am a volunteer for Wildlife Aid. Suzanne and Peggy Fenton do so much good for the wildlife in our area. Animals that would have suffered or died get the care and help they need. People call Wildlife Aid at all hours of the day, and they always do their best to assist. Wildlife Aid relies solely on donations, so whatever you can give them is greatly appreciated!
Found an injured baby bat on my patio this past summer and did not want him to die of exposure of become prey for a feral cat. Called Mary Lee and within 2 hours she had a volunteer meet me to pick the little guy up and get him to a rehab center.
After following Wildlife aid, I've not only learned how much they help others, but learned much of what to do if I come across wildlife in need.
I have been working with Wildlife Aid for over 25 years now. Thousands of animals have been saved. An all volunteer organization, the founders Suzanne and Peggy Fenton care for these animals 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They rely on donations to fund the day to day care of feeding, housing and providing veterinary care for orphaned and injured raccoons, opossums, squirrels and fox. One of just a few wildlife rehabilitation centers in New Jersey, the founders and volunteers are always there to help. A terrific organization!
I have had to use Wildlife Aid's help many times. They have always been quick to respond, professional, and compassionate beyond words. They have taught my family how to handle future problems and how to recognize potentially dangerous situations for our wildlife. I am so thankful to have Wildlife Aid in our area.
I've worked with a lot of rescue groups. Wildlife Aid is a group that's dedicated to doing what's best for the animal. Whether it's feeding babies and keeping them until they are definitely ready to be on their own. Or getting the vet care the animal needs as soon as possible. Or doing the impossible by rescuing animals in Crazy situations such as hanging upside down off of wire two stories in the air their dedication and the volunteer dedication is amazing. And even though they are an organization for wildlife they go the extra mile and also help in domestic animals situations such as cats trapped in basements or crawl spaces or just helping strays. They truly care about all animals and isn't that what rescue is about?
This is the best wildlife rescue I have encountered. During a house demolition on Osborn Island I was contacted by the contractors about 7 baby raccoons. Suzanne told me exactly what to do hoping the mom would come back for them. The next day when the mom was found dead Suzanne took all 7. What an amazing woman.
I used them to come rescue a hurt bird and they were awesome. They were super caring and very prompt. I was SO relieved when I contacted them. They are a great organization and very helpful.
Wildlife Aid is such an invaluable organization in our area, I would be lost without them. From a homeless, near death kitten, a very sick fox to a trapped seagull they are always there to help. Thank you!
We found an injured bird, just an ordinary sparrow, and put in a call to Wildlife Aid. Now many would say the little guy wasn't worth the effort since it was such a common species...but not WA. They accepted it and transported it to a rehab facility. Thank you for caring and realizing ever animal deserves the chance to be helped/saved!
