To date WWC has preserved over 470 acres in the Connoquenessing Creek watershed and these lands are open to the public for passive recreation and study. We have constructed canoe launch areas and have removed a dam. A dedicated restricted land acquisition fund in excess of $100,000 has been established and we are constantly seeking new opportunities to conserve targeted portions of the watershed. We are the only local land conservancy organization operating in western Butler County and several other parts of the watershed. Due to budgetary constraints we eliminated our part time staffing and are now functioning on an all volunteer basis. We are debt free and have funds to continue to meet our essential budget needs for several years, but additional donations would allow us to have some part time staff to implement new initiatives. Watch our website at www. wildwaterwaysconservancy.org for the results of our planned Board retreat were we intend to set specific goals and objectives to move forward.
