Programs: Part of ascension wisconsin, wheaton franciscan healthcare-franklin opened in april 2008 and represents a model of care focused on health and wellness. Designed with healing in mind, the 275,000 square-foot hospital uses natural light and a serene environment to create a tranquil atmosphere and promote a feeling of peace. This hospital brings care closer to growing communities in southern milwaukee county, providing convenience and cost-efficiency in care. In june 2013, the franklin hospital opened a 65,000 square foot medical office building on its campus that houses a full spectrum of primary care and specialist physician offices. Through the efforts of hospital staff, franklin provides community outreach and support through mission integration activities of the mission committee. Efforts such as the thanksgiving food drive, the mission closet or "shoebox" gifts filled with christmas toys provide an avenue for associates to actively help those in need.
