Mission: To instill a level of independence in every youth so that they are self-sufficient upon departure from the group home.
Programs: Whale of hope has offered youth services to over 30 youth in the calendar year of 2016. These services include shelter, life skills, and in education. The organization has acted as a liaison between youth and their families, which the organization has reunited several youth with their families in 2016. Furthermore, whale of hope hosted a stems workshop, which allowed the organization to spread the interest in science and mathematics. This workshop served over 60 youth, where the objective was to raise the interest in engineering. The organization has also grown and added a second location that allows youth over the age of 18 to focus on independent living skills. Ultimately, aiming to transition youth into a setting for them to become self-sufficient.
