Direct beneficiaries per year: 231 individuals with transportation, needs 51 individuals that had,and provided outreach services to 120 individuals and families
Geographic areas served: Western Kansas
Programs: WKACD provides important services to individuals with disabilities, low income individuals, and families and to the community. The transportation program provides gas and van vouchers to individuals with disabilities and/or low income individuals. Individuals can use the vouchers for transportation to and from work. WKACD also provides payee services and representative services contracted through Social Security Administration. Other services provided are a benevolence fund, advocacy, networking and social/recreational activities. Our agency also works as an outreach provider for disabled and low income individuals to access programs in the community that can assist with issues of medical need, low income housing, job placement, and affordable transportation.
