Mission: The primary purpose of the organization is to address the lagging technology adoption rates of small and medium sized manufacturing firms within the state of west virginia; to provide general information on the diffusion of technology into the work place; to expand extension activities to better assess the technical, training and management needs of west virginia firms and link them to appropriate service providers; and to organize technology resources into a collaborative system that can effectively and efficiently address the needs of manufacturing firms.
Programs: During the previous two years, wvmep has been in the process of discontinuing operations by transferring all grant activities, program service activities, and employees to the statler college of engineering & mineral resources, a department of west virginia university.
